Chemical Name / INCI:

PEG Monotallates

CAS #:

61791-00-2

Chemical Family:

Nonionic Surfactants > PEG Esters

OVERVIEW

SierraSurf 400 MT is a nonionic surfactant produced by reacting polyethylene glycol (PEG) with tall oil fatty acid to form a stable ester. Known for its excellent emulsifying properties, it is highly effective in emulsifying mineral oils and other members of the mineral oil family. SierraSurf 400 MT is also an extremely efficient spreading agent, making it a preferred choice in high-performance defoamers and antifoam formulations. In addition, it can emulsify a wide range of water-insoluble chemicals, giving it broad applicability across diverse chemical formulations where stable emulsions are required.
