OVERVIEW

SierraSulf OA 80 is a high-performance surfactant derived from natural oleic acid. Through Ascent’s sulfation process, oleic acid is converted into sulfated oleic acid—also known as oleic acid sulfate or sulfonated oleic acid—creating a versatile, bio-based anionic surfactant. SierraSulf OA 80 functions as a powerful dispersant, wetting agent, low-foaming emulsifier, and surface-active cleaner. It can be used as a stand-alone chemistry or as a key functional ingredient in specialty formulations for textiles, water treatment, cleaning compounds, latex systems, and lubricants. Readily biodegradable and free of hazardous components, it represents sustainable green chemistry with no environmental concerns.
