SierraCor ATQ-100

OVERVIEW

SierraCor ATQ 100 is a high ring closure imidazoline quaternized with diethyl sulfate, also referred to as an imidazoline quaternary ammonium compound or diethyl sulfate quat. ATQ 100 is used extensively as a corrosion inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor additive. It is also used as a cationic emulsifier in a number of applications because of its strong positive charge. As a corrosion inhibitor, ATQ 100 positively charges the treating liquid, which typically gives it attraction to metal surfaces. Depending on the formulation and other additives, ATQ 100 will provide both attraction and film formation. This film is generally persistent and gives corrosion resistance. As a cationic emulsifier, ATQ 100 offers a strong charge and is often used in conjunction with other emulsifiers. In applications such as rinse aids for auto wash, ATQ 100 provides substantivity to metal surfaces and helps deliver active ingredients onto the auto surface. SierraCor ATQ 100 is a thick material requiring agitation for dispersion into cold water. The best results for dilution are achieved using vigorous agitation and warm water.
