Rocksize 240

OVERVIEW

Rocksize 240, Alkyl ketene dimers (AKD) are manufactured from fatty acid chlorides (C12-C20) and N,N-Dimethylisopropylamine (DMIPA). AKD is a highly effective sizing chemical. It is specifically designed to enhance drainage and optimize sizing efficiency in most papermaking systems. The most practical and preferred delivery system for paper is a water-based emulsion. Ascent has developed manufacturing techniques and chemical systems to produce AKD emulsions with suitable stability for the paper industry. Rocksize 240 is an economical AKD emulsion that delivers predictable results in paper manufacturing.
