EtnaFoam OB-N 100

OVERVIEW

EtnaFoam OB-N 100 is a 100% active, non-silicone antifoaming agent that is applicable to textile and associated processing. EtnaFoam OB-N 100 was designed as an economical replacement where the use of silicone antifoaming agents is objectionable. The product contains twice the active EBSA and can typically be used at half the level to reduce oil content in the bath. The selection and proper balance of emulsifiers provides stability of this product over the entire temperature range normally employed in the dyeing of both natural and synthetic fibers. The addition of 1/8 - 1/4% based upon the weight of goods, is generally sufficient to eliminate troublesome foam. As in all antifoaming agents, care should be taken to avoid excessive levels to eliminate possible dyeing problems.
