SierraSurf 400 DT

Chemical Name / INCI:

PEG Ditallates

CAS #:

61791-01-03

Chemical Family:

Nonionic Surfactants > PEG Esters

OVERVIEW

SierraSurf 400 DT is a ditallate-based nonionic surfactant and emulsifier that is compatible with nonionic, anionic, amphoteric, and cationic surfactants. It is particularly effective as an emulsifier for oils, especially mineral oils, making it a preferred choice in applications requiring stable oil dispersions. Its efficiency also makes it valuable as a spreading agent and as an emulsifier for defoamers. In lubricant formulations, SierraSurf 400 DT provides a dual function—facilitating emulsification of non-water-soluble oils while contributing lubricity. In fiber lubricant systems, it shows strong compatibility with cationic cohesion aids and antistatic agents, enhancing overall formulation performance.
