OVERVIEW

SierraMide MEA (lauramide MEA; monoethanolamide of lauric acid; N-(2-hydroxyethyl)dodecanamide) is a nonionic amide surfactant and foam stabilizer produced via amidation of lauric acid with monoethanolamine (MEA). It increases foam volume/creaminess, builds viscosity, and offers emulsifying and wetting support for stable formulations. Compatible with anionic and amphoteric systems (e.g., SLES/LAS, betaines), it’s used in shampoos, body washes, liquid soaps, dish liquids, laundry detergents, and industrial hard-surface cleaners.
