SierraQuat 90
OVERVIEW
SierraQuat 90 is an imidazoline, also referred to as an imidazoline-based quaternary ammonium compound or diethyl sulfate quat, that is 90% active. It is a highly reacted material with a very high closure and a minimum of unreacted material. SierraQuat 90 is a formulation additive for tissue manufacturing offering excellent softness, good release to prevent sticking and tearing of tissue, and very low yellowing. It has a long and successful history of use in the paper industry with consistently good performance in a variety of products. Because SierraQuat 90 has a strong cationic charge, it has also been used successfully as a primary emulsifier in car wash rinse aids where mineral oil is delivered to the auto surface to shed water. Likewise, it is used to offer charge to carnauba waxes. SierraQuat 90 can be used as an emulsifier and cationic surfactant in a variety of formulations for cleaners.APPLICATIONS
