OVERVIEW

SierraLube BIO SD is a high-performance, bio-based drilling lubricant formulated with over 90% renewable plant-derived content. It significantly reduces friction, torque, and drag in challenging oilfield drilling operations, enhancing efficiency and reliability. Unlike conventional petroleum or ester-based lubricants, SierraLube BIO SD is a waterless material that blends easily with oils and oil-based fluids, while remaining fully water-dispersible and miscible for broad system compatibility. Its elevated flash point provides greater safety margins, making it a versatile and environmentally friendly green alternative for demanding drilling applications.
